Day 26, The 30 Day Tumblr Challenge, Your Week—In Great Detail
Sunday, I picnicked at an overlook, shopped at Dollar General, and tubed the lower Ocoee, all before the family reunion, which involved several hula hoops and roasting marshmallows with Eva and the other kids.
Monday, I said goodbye to family, drove 411 up from Benton, and ate sushi and hibachi at Little Tokyo. (Eva used her training chopsticks and practiced teaching waitresses about them.)
Tuesday, I had my teeth cleaned, ran errands, cooked dinner, and watched the Muppets. (It was Eva’s first Muppet experience, although she already knew Kermit and Miss Piggy. Gonzo cracked her up.)
Wednesday, today, I straightened, cleaned, listened to way too many writing podcasts, bought some groceries, cooked dinner, and baked three squash pies. Eva cleared the dishes for me and hummed like Snow White the whole time. Tonight I will write for at least an hour. (Yes I will.)
Thursday, I’ll work eight hours at the library (you know, “moving” books) and then dine potluck at Eva’s school picnic. (Two of the squash pies will attend the picnic as well.)
Friday, I’ll prepare for Eva’s birthday party at the Little Gym on Sunday (She’ll be four on Monday!), and then I’ll club a book at Jamie’s House, where the other pie will join me.
Saturday, we’ll go as a family to Jackson’s 2nd birthday party, and after that, your guess is as good as mine.
I’m not sure how I feel about the topics for this part of the challenge—your day, week, month, year, in great detail, but I’m sticking with the challenge anyway. I’m sorry about that, if anyone out there is actually following. :)
